Romero Lara Herrera, a Doctoral Candidate in Educational Technological Innovation, currently works as an ELT instructor at La Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México. He holds a BA in ELT from La Universidad de Guanajuato (UG), an MA in TEFL from La Universidad de Guadalajara (UdeG) and he has a Diploma in Pedagogy and Didactics of Translation from La Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM).
He has worked as an English language facilitator and a teacher trainer for 18 years. He was also the Supervisor of Teacher Trainers in the State of Guanajuato for the British Embassy’s Prosperity-Fund in Mexico and for La Secretaria de Educación de Guanajuato (SEG) for El Programa Nacional de Inglés (PRONI). He is an official oral examiner for Cambridge Assessment through International House Queretaro, and he is an Academic Consultant for ELT.
His current field of research is on EMI, CLIL, CBI and teachers’ and learners’ perceptions of teaching and learning English. Romero has given presentations at national and international conferences and has published articles in journals and/or book chapters in Colombia, Southeast Asia (Singapore) and Mexico.
